Final Bassmaster Open moved to Lake Martin

Final Bassmaster Open moved to Lake Martin

Due to the extreme flooding and damage caused by the remnants of Hurricane Helene, the final Bassmaster Open of 2024 will be moved to Lake Martin, Alabama.

The event, which will qualify nine anglers from the Elite Qualifiers to the Bassmaster Elite Series, was scheduled for South Carolina’s Lake Hartwell on Oct. 10-12. Massive flooding in the area has created dangerous lake conditions, power outages and gas shortages across the state. In an effort to respect the resources and be sensitive to the difficulties storms have created in the area, B.A.S.S. officials have decided to change venues.

Lake Martin, a 44,000-acre reservoir on the Tallapoosa River, has not hosted a major B.A.S.S. event since 2018.

The no-information rule for competitors for Lake Martin will go into effect immediately.
